About the App
Mumbles Raft Race Control is an organiser application used by authorised event personnel to send official live notifications during the Mumbles RNLI Raft Race.
The application includes predefined event messages, a custom message editor and a two-stage confirmation process before a notification is sent.
Important Information
Notifications cannot be recalled once they have been sent.
Operators should carefully check the notification title and message before accepting both confirmation prompts.
An active internet connection is required to send notifications.
Common Questions
The notification was not sent
Check that the device has an active internet connection and try again.
If an error message is displayed, record the wording of the message and contact support.
The app says the notification was sent, but it was not received
Ensure that notifications are enabled on the receiving device and that the public Mumbles Raft Race app has been opened at least once after installation.
Delivery may also depend on Apple Push Notification Service, Firebase Cloud Messaging and the receiving device's internet connection.
Can a sent notification be cancelled?
No. Once a notification has been accepted by the notification service, it cannot be recalled.
Can anyone use the app?
The application is intended only for authorised event organisers and race control personnel.
